Abstract:
I will provide an overview of the Angantyr model for heavy-ion collisions, which is a direct extrapolation of Pythia event generator. The Angantyr model does not consider QGP creation in its heavy-ion events simulation. I will further talk about the latest work of introducing a spatial constraint in the QCD-inspired colour reconnection model for pp events in Pythia, which we extend for pA and AA collisions in the Angnatyr model. This new update allows a more inclusive treatment of the sub-collisions in the heavy-ion events. I will show results like multiplicity distributions and baryon-to-meson rations from the Pythia/Angantyr model. I will conclude by sharing some potential ideas which may provide alternative explanations about the underlying physics of some of the observables which are considered results of the QGP formation.
