Abstract:
Eight years after the discovery of the scalar boson at a mass around 125 GeV the quest to fully unveil its properties is ongoing. The Yukawa couplings are of prime interest after the interactions with electroweak bosons have been experimentally established, thus confirming the EW symmetry breaking mechanism. Until recently, only couplings to the third generation fermions had been measured. In the talk, the first observation of the Higgs decays into a pair of muons, i.e. second generation fermions, reported by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations will be presented.
