dr Hamzeh Khanpur (AGH): From precision physics at the FCC-ee to rare top interactions

Europe/Warsaw
Description

Abstract:

The FCC-ee is designed to provide an exceptionally clean and high-luminosity (e^+e^-) environment for precision studies of the Standard Model, spanning the Z pole, the WW threshold, the Higgs factory stage, and the top-threshold region. In this talk, I will briefly discuss the broader precision-physics potential of FCC-ee in the electroweak, Higgs, and top sectors, and then focus on our recent feasibility study of flavour-changing neutral-current (FCNC) top interactions in single-top production. This study illustrates how the FCC-ee precision programme can be turned into a sensitive probe of rare and forbidden processes, with strong discovery potential for physics beyond the Standard Model.
