Enrique Ruiz Arriola (University of Granada): X(3872) as bound state or correlation: Ultralow energy properties from ultrahigh energy processes

Europe/Warsaw
Description

Abstract:

All existing experimental evidence of the bound state nature of the X(3872) relies on considering its decay products with a finite experimental spectral mass resolution which is typically much larger than its alleged binding energy, 0.00(18)MeV. On the other hand, there is a neat cancellation in the axial-isovector channel for the invariant meson-antimeson mass around the threshold between the continuum and bound state contribution. We discuss the impact of this effect for X(3872) at finite temperature, in prompt production in pp collisions data with a finite transverse momentum  or the lineshapes of specific production experiments of exotic states involving triangle singularities.

Important: This seminar is held in building D-11 room 104.

Please, be advised that due to the pandemic sanitary rules, we can absorbe 1 unvaccinated person per 10m^2, which means 4 people. As most of us are vaccinated, this should not be a problem. There will be a list of participants, stating that they were (or were not) vaccinated / are immune / with a valid covid test, where we will ask you to sign in upon arrival. Also, people with ANY symptoms of cold (either of running nose, cough, temperature, ...), not necessarily covid, are not allowed to participate according to the rules. We hope you understand. The situation is dynamic and we will of course keep you posted. At the moment we plan to proceed “live”, similary to teaching at AGH.
