Abstract:

In this talk we shall briefly recall the concept of geometrical-scaling of the elastic pp cross-section proposed in the mid 70-ties by Dias de Deus and Buras. We shall discuss most recent studies of geometrical-scaling at the LHC energies, and show, how scaling laws can be inferred from certain phenomenological properties of the elastic data.
