Abstract:
The W boson mass is a key parameter of the electroweak sector of the Standard Model. In 2017, the ATLAS Collaboration measured the W boson mass with a then world-leading precision using proton-proton collisions at 7 TeV. Now, a new measurement with the same dataset is presented, exploiting a more refined statistical model and treatment of some systematic uncertainties.
