Abstract:
The associated production of the top-antitop quark pair and a heavy gauge boson: the Higgs boson or the W,Z bosons are processes with the most massive particles in the Standard Model. Therefore they are expected to exhibit an enhanced sensitivity to possible effects from physics beyond the Standard-Model. Such processes are studied at the LHC with increasing experimental precision. In the talk the current status of theoretical calculations of the cross sections for these processes will be presented, including recent progress of fixed order calculations. Particular emphasis will be placed on the soft gluon resummation technique and its impact on theoretical precision.
